Dystonia Diary

This is what it's like to have cervical dystonia - the good, the bad, and the ugly. Actually, there's nothing good about it.

More Botox again

I got more Botox (12 shots) October 2, and although my deviation is almost as bad as before, the pain relief has been pretty good. The only problem area is my left shoulder, mostly near the base of my neck.

These shots had better last until January, because it'll be a difficult holiday shopping season if they don't. The store I work at will be a serious mess, I'll be working long hours, and I won't be able to request a day off for more shots until January.

I was surprised that the most recent shots were authorized, since they were so soon after the others. There's no way they'll authorize even more Botox if I need it before January. But you never know.

My insomnia is a little worse, but no one at my Dr office has asked about it the last few times I was there. I'll definitely mention it next time, because I'm tired of spending 10 hours in bed, and only getting about 6 hour of interrupted sleep - if I'm lucky.
